Welcome to the website of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority National Educational Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization founded in 1975 by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The foundation’s mission is to improve the living standards of individuals and communities, and to that end, it has blazed trails by providing scholarships to deserving students, implementing social action programs, working cooperatively with colleges and universities, and conducting research to improve health conditions across the nation.
As the 2014-2016 Board of Managers embark on a journey to excellence, our goals are to continue the noble work of the foundation in securing scholarship and endowments funds revitalize the African American Genetics Education Program through community collaboration and outreach. In our quest to be transparent, we will implement a communication plan to inform our supporters and the sisterhood of foundation programs and activities through community organizations, national, regional, and state conferences.
I am honored to serve as Chair of the 2014-2016 Board of Managers and grateful for the dedication of International President Mary Breaux Wright, Past International Presidents and all national, regional and state officers. I would also like to acknowledge the leadership of the five past grands who served on the first Foundation Board of Managers. They were Soror Mildred Cater Bradham, Soror Isabel M. Herson, Soror Reverend Dr. Deborah C. Wolfe, Soror Lullelia W. Harrison, and Soror Dr. S. Evelyn Lewis.
The foundation enjoys its prominence today because the founders established a clear and shared vision, past members of the Board or Managers worked tirelessly to accomplish foundation goals, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority provided generous financial support. Thanks for a job well done. With warm regards, Dr. Alice J. Garrett Chair National Education Foundation Board of Managers
