Scholarship
Programs
Since 1975, the Foundation has awarded thousands
of dollars in scholarships and fellowships for higher education to both
Zetas and non-Zetas. The Foundation has processed hundreds of other
scholarships, as a part of its Chapter Designated Scholarship program,
established in 1980. Under the Chapter Designated Scholarship program,
local scholarship programs, local scholarships and fellowships are awarded
by chapters throughout the country.
The Foundation’s scholarship program is funded by support of its
principal donor, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through chapter tax and
life member fees , by contributions and gifts from members and chapters,
by the Board of Managers’ contributions and fundraising, memorial
scholarships as well as fundraising at the Regional and State levels.
Endowments have been established for the Foundation at the National
level, Chapter level and by the Board of Managers.
The Foundation annually provides financial assistance to worthy students
pursuing higher education both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
General
Undergraduate:
Available to college Freshmen, Sophomores,
Juniors, Seniors and graduating high school Seniors planning to
enter college in the Fall.
General
Graduate:
Available to graduate students working on
a professional degree: masters, doctoral or enrolled in post doctoral
study.
Nancy B.
Woolridge McGee Graduate Fellowship:
Available to members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,
Incorporated who are pursuing a graduate or professional degree
in a chosen field of study
S.Evelyn
Lewis Memorial Medical Health Science Scholarship:
Available to undergraduate or graduate women
pursuing a degree in medicine or health sciences.
Isabel
M. Herson Scholarship In Education:
Available to undergraduate or graduate students
pursuing a degree in either elementary or secondary education.
Deborah
Partridge Wolfe International Fellowship:
Available to undergraduate or graduate U.S.
students studying abroad and/or a graduate or undergraduate foreign
student studying within the U.S.
The Zora
Neal Hurston Scholarship:
Available to graduate students pursuing advanced
degree in anthropology or related fields.
Mildred
Cater Bradham Social Work Fellowship:
Available to members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,
Incorporated pursuing a graduate or professional degree in social
work.
Lullellia
W. Harrison Counseling Scholarship:
Available to graduate or undergraduate students
enrolled in a counseling degree program.
