ONLINE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Hello Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Zeta National Educational Foundation Scholarship. We are pleased that you have selected our foundation to aid you in your educational pursuit. Please read the following procedures and requirements before filling out the online application. Any deviation from the instructions can disqualify your application.
 
Application instructions:
All scholarship applications must have three (3) letters of recommendation and official transcripts to be considered for an award.

Legal Name:
Please use your legal name. Do not use nicknames. Make sure your name is consistent throughout your submission. The name (legal, married, maiden, divorced, etc.) that appears on your official transcript should match your application and letters of recommendation. 

Transcripts:
We accept sealed, unopened copies of official transcripts via US postal mail or through the official e-transcript transmittal sent by the school, college or university. Official transcripts are transcripts that are stamped, sealed and mailed by the school; envelope sealed and transcript mailed by the applicant, or last, the school, college or university sends the (third party) electronic transmittal link in which the scholarship committee can directly download the transcripts. Unacceptable transcripts consist of email, opened, unsealed PDF copies of transcripts even if they come from the school counselor or institution official. Have the e-transcript transmittal link sent to email, ZNEF1975@gmail.com.

Letters of Recommendation:
All letters of recommendation need to be addressed to the ZNEF Scholarship Committee and/or the Scholarship Chair, Chrislyn Turner. Letters of recommendation addressed to other individuals and other organizations will not be accepted and will be denied. Letters of recommendation need to clearly state that the letter is recommending the applicant’s name for the specific ZNEF scholarship. Letters of recommendation need to be reflective of activities and accomplishments within a reasonable timeframe.  Letters of recommendation should be current, within six months of your application submission. Email submissions of letters recommendation are acceptable. Please email letters to email, ZNEF1975@gmail.com.

Application Deadline:
The application deadline of February 1st is the deadline date. All documents are due on February 1st this includes the letters of recommendation and official transcripts. Applications and documents are due in our possession/ in our office on February 1st. Please plan your submission and mailing of documents accordingly. We will not accept postmarks of February 1st. The last acceptable postmark date is January 31st for express mail.

Scholarship Process Calendar:
Application Acceptance: September 1 - February 1, 11:59 EST
Review and Read applications: February - May 
Selection of awardee:  June - July 
Notification: August 
Award:  September
