Since 1975, the Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and fellowships for higher education to both Zetas and Non-Zetas. The Foundation has processed hundreds of other scholarships, as a part of its Chapter Designated Scholarship Program, established in 1980. Under the program, local scholarships and fellowships are awarded by chapters throughout the country. The Foundation’s Scholarship Program is funded by support of its principal donor. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., through chapter tax and life member fees, by contributions and gift from members and chapters, by the Board of Manager’s contributions and fundraising, memorial scholarships, as well as fundraising at the Regional and State level. Endowments has been established for the foundation at the National level, Chapter level, and by the Board of Managers.
Zeta Organizational Leadership Scholarship - Zetas Only Zeta National Educational Foundation (Z-NEF) is proud to offer eight scholarships, one per region, for deserving undergraduate sorors that would like to become Zeta Organizational Leadership (ZOL) certified and advance their Zeta career. One undergraduate scholarship recipient per region will be selected and awarded $275 for undergraduate registration, payable to ZOL on the soror’s behalf.
This scholarship is one way the Zeta National Educational Foundation will contribute towards the investment of our sorority’s future leaders.
Each applicant will be required to fill out the application, write a 2-page essay and submit an electronic PDF copy of her official transcript. Each recipient will be selected based upon the strength of her composition and demonstrated financial need. Each regional recipient must be active, financial and in good academic standing with her school and with the sorority. Only sorors with a GPA of 2.5 and above will be able to apply. The application window will be open from March 2019 and close April 30, 2019. Late submissions will not be accepted. The awardees will be selected and announced by May 20, 2019, in time to meet the final ZOL registration deadline.
ZOL Application Procedures General Eligibility: Undergraduate women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated who are currently matriculating full-time in an accredited four-year institution are eligible for this award. Each eligible applicant will be financial for the current year of the award and actively pursuing a degree. All applicants must meet all criteria delineated in this application form. Criteria:
The recipient must: · Be currently admitted and attending an accredited college or university ·
Must be a full-time student carrying at least 12 credit hours ·
Must be a financial member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, in good standing and a member of an active collegiate chapter ·
Must have a Cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better (on a 4.0 scale) ·
Must submit an official transcript (Electronic PDF) with the school seal and an authorized official’s signature ·
Must submit the personal 2 page essay ·
Must submit a completely executed and a signed scholarship application
Rules and Regulations:
All entries into this application form and its attachments must be true and accurate.
All copies of transcripts must be the official, original documents, issued by the college or university with appropriate seal or watermark (Official electronic transmission will be acceptable), must represent a full-time student status.
All awardees must conduct themselves on/off the campus in a way, which garners the respect of other students on/off the campus, and all officials of the university.
Any change in student’s enrollment, academic status or contact information must be reported to the local advising graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, the Regional ZNEF Liaison, and the National Scholarship Chair.
All submissions must be complete at the time of submission. NO partial submissions will be accepted.
